By planting trees, Trees for the Future and Eartheasy are helping to restore critical habitat, reduce runoff, and improve soil quality.

Eartheasy is dedicated to promoting sustainability and environmental stewardship through all of our operations. That’s why we’re renewing our partnership with Trees for the Future, a non-profit organization committed to combating deforestation and promoting sustainable land use practices in developing countries.

A primary goal of this partnership is to plant trees in areas that have been devastated by deforestation. Deforestation not only removes vital oxygen producers from the ecosystem, but also contributes to climate change by releasing more carbon dioxide into the atmosphere. By planting trees, Trees for the Future is helping to restore critical habitat, reduce runoff, and improve soil quality.

“Support from companies like Eartheasy is crucial in environmental restoration and protection,” says Trees for the Future CEO Tim McLellan. “Thanks to our brand partners, we’re reaching more farmers and planting more trees this year than ever before.”

Another significant focus of the partnership is promoting sustainable agriculture. Many of the areas where Trees for the Future works are located in impoverished regions of the world where subsistence farming is the primary source of food and income. The organization works with local communities to promote sustainable land use practices, including agroforestry, which combines agriculture with forestry.

Trees for the Future trains farmers in agroforestry, teaching them to grow sustainable farming systems called Forest Gardens. The average one-acre Forest Garden is home to more than 4,000 trees and sequesters about 156 metric tons of carbon over 20 years. Forest Gardens restore the soil and natural biodiversity of the land while providing food and income opportunities to the farming family.

“It’s easy to get overwhelmed by the state of our planet and the need for urgent action,” says Trees for the Future Director of Programs Brandy Lellou. “But the good news is that Trees for the Future has a solution to some of our most pressing challenges, and we have brand partners like Eartheasy dedicated to making lasting change possible.”

Partnerships for sustainability

Eartheasy’s partnership with Trees for the Future is an excellent example of how companies can work with non-profit organizations to promote sustainability and make a positive impact on the environment. To date, Eartheasy’s contributions have helped plant more than 135,000 trees since the partnership began, with 26,888 in 2022 alone.

With support from business partners, as well as individual donors and institutional funders, Trees for the Future has planted more than 300 million trees around the globe over the past 30 years–and they’re not finished yet! By choosing Eartheasy, you can help plant more trees and create a more sustainable future for all of us.
